Why an Icon is a "Window to Heaven," not Just Art ?

In the heart of Nazareth, I don’t just paint; I "write" icons. Unlike regular portraits, a Byzantine icon is a sacred window. When you look at an icon, you aren't just seeing a depiction of a saint; you are invited into a moment of prayer. In my studio, every brushstroke is accompanied by Orthodox chants and silence, ensuring that the spiritual essence of the Holy Land is captured within the wood.
