Rami Iconography: Sacred Byzantine Art from the Heart of Nazareth
To me, an icon is more than a painting; it is a theological language of symbols, colors, and profound spiritual depth. Born and raised in Nazareth, the City of the Annunciation, my journey began in the very place where the Gospel took root. Living and working in the Holy Land, I felt a sacred responsibility to preserve and carry forward the ancient ecclesiastical tradition of iconography.
My path was guided by Divine Grace when I began my apprenticeship under the master Nizar Khashiboun, one of the most prominent iconographers and restorers in the Holy Land, whose hand has adorned dozens of historical churches. Nizar is not only my teacher but remains my mentor, overseeing every icon that leaves my studio to this day. I further refined my mastery under the world-renowned Professor George Kordis, allowing me to blend local Holy Land tradition with global academic excellence.
In my Nazareth studio, every icon is 'written' through a process of prayer, meditation, and inner peace. From the seasoning of the wood to the final protective varnish, every step is rigorously monitored. My mission is to bring the Light of the Holy Land and the peace of the Saints into your home through an authentic masterpiece designed to last for generations.
